About the Role:
We seek a responsible, proactive church administrator to manage the church's daily operations. The Church Administrator works with the Pastor, staff, and church volunteers. The role reports to the church's Trustees.
To be a successful church administrator, you should be able to handle multiple tasks to ensure the church is well-run and the building and grounds are well maintained. You should be highly organized, efficient, detail-oriented, professional, willing to learn and work independently as needed.
Church Administrator Responsibilities:
Support administrative needs of the Pastor and provide requested support to church leadership.
Manage daily operations, office supplies, and records, including Church records, member database, committee lists, volunteer lists, vendor and emergency contact lists, and other files.
Professionally communicate and represent FAC in response to inquiries, whether in person, over the phone, or in writing (email, letters.)
Prioritize inquiries and communicate appropriately with Pastor and church leadership. Act as point person for church tenants and coordinate the occasional rental of church facilities
Coordinate, plan and execute church events with the help of volunteers and leaders.
Assist Treasurers in paying bills, recording church income from donations, and preparing donation receipts/letters.
Prepare all church communications and publications, including but not limited to weekly bulletin (print and online,) weekly Constant Contact email, and bi-monthly print newsletter. Pastor and volunteers predominantly create content. You must be able to assemble, edit, and proof content, then appropriately layout in respective formats.
Oversee day-to-day facility operations in coordination with church leadership. Identify time-sensitive repair issues, schedule, and monitor repair personnel, manage, order, and replenish supplies.
Assist with meeting schedules, sign-out of church equipment, facilities rental, and enforcement of church policies for facility and equipment use.
Maintain church calendar and assist members with event planning. Anticipate and schedule set-up, church access, and clean-up with custodial staff, as needed.
Build and maintain relationships with the congregation and community.

Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative or financial role
A friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to meet deadlines
Willingness to learn
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Necessary skills include proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word. Knowledge of Publisher, Quickbooks, and familiarity with Constant Contact is a plus.
This position requires flexibility, confidentiality, and the ability to work both independently and with teams, must be able to manage multiple projects and problem-solve.
Knowledge of the Armenian language is a plus but not required.
Hours and Compensation
Hours: This is a 20 hour per week position. Work week is Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (negotiable)
Pay Range: $20 - $25 per hour based on experience.
