Vacation Bible School 2026
FAC put on the 27th Vacation Bible School the week of August 17th. This year’s theme was Snowball Mountain Challenge, where children became “Challengers” as they participated in exciting winter-themed adventures filled with frosty games, snowy surprises, and engaging lessons about resilience, courage, and faith.
Over 60 children, ages 3-10, attended and had a week of faith, friendship, music, games, crafts, and unforgettable memories.
Our key verse was Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Children explored a different daily Bible story that brought this verse to life:
Lessons:
Monday: Joseph Interprets Dreams (Genesis 40:1-41:45)
Tuesday: Esther Shows Courage (Esther 3:7-8:8)
Wednesday: The Widow's Offering (Mark 12:41-44)
Thursday: Jesus Prays in the Garden (Matthew 26:36-46)
Friday: Peter and John at the Temple (Acts 3:1-10)
Each day the children collected money for a missions project. This year it was for the VBS program in Shirakamout, and over $700 was collected!
The kids had a wonderful time learning contemporary Bible songs, meeting new friends, praying together, discussing, playing games, eating fun snacks, and doing arts and crafts.
So grateful for our 40+ Adult and Youth volunteers who helped make it happen. We were thrilled that some VBS volunteers, as well as participants who attend FAC, had just returned from Camp Arevelk the week prior and could share their experiences.
How to support VBS financially:
The First Armenian Church VBS impacts many children in our Christian community, and they learn hands-on what it means to give back. Typically, over 70 children attend our program alongside almost 40 middle school, high school, and adult volunteers and educators.
To help fund our efforts, we invite you to donate to our ministry. For 27 years, we've kept this ministry FREE of charge and growing, thanks to the generosity of our community. We provide daily educational materials, crafts, snacks, tailored games, and printed materials, and the costs add up. Our costs are now between $1,500 and $ 2,000 and continue to increase each year.
Your contribution will continue to support this ministry and allow us to keep our mission of impacting children with biblical truths.
