Plan A Visit To First Armenian Church

Service times, directions, and what to expect on your first visit to FAC.

Getting to know each other

It's not easy visiting a new church for the first time.  Coming to First Armenian Church for the first time, you may wonder, "Do I need to be Armenian or speak the Armenian language to worship here?  What is the music like?  What is available for children?  Am I welcome if I don't know what I believe?"

Each week, we welcome guests just like you to our worship services, both in-person and online, and we want to help make your first experience at FAC a great one!

SERVICE TIMES

  • Worship: Sundays at 10:30 AM

  • Sunday School: Right after the children’s sermon, at approximately 10:45 AM

LOCATION & DIRECTIONS

We are located at 380 Concord Ave, Belmont, MA 02478. Find our address and directions by clicking here. We have free parking at the church and free street parking on Sundays.

What can I expect?

HOW LONG IS A FAC SERVICE?

In total, the First Armenian Church service is about 60 minutes in length. The service is also streamed online live for web viewers on our Facebook Page, and afterward, we post them to our website here.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THE WORSHIP SERVICE?

When you first arrive at First Armenian Church, you will be met by a greeter in the entryway.  They will direct you to the sanctuary.

Although our services include both an English and an Armenian sermon, we provide a written English translation for the Armenian sermon in the program.

Our music combines traditional protestant hymns, Armenian sharagans, and contemporary songs. There is always something familiar and often something new to sing or hear.

WHAT'S THE CULTURE LIKE AT FAC?

Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

If you are coming with your children, they are welcome to worship with you in the Sanctuary for the first part of the service.  They are then invited to come forward to hear the children’s message, which offers them a fun and engaging bible story or concept.  Afterward, they go downstairs to the Chapel and Sunday School classrooms. Sunday school is offered for kids ages 3 through 11th grade.

Our renovated nursery offers a bright and cheerful place for infants and toddlers to play (with supervision by a parent), and a comfortable setting for new mothers to nurse infants, all while the church service is televised on a screen in the nursery for a parent(s) to watch and hear the sermon.

WHAT ABOUT after the service?

After our services, our pastor will always wait to greet our parishioners and any newcomers.  Please take a moment to introduce yourselves and share any concerns or prayer requests if you wish. We welcome you to join us after the service for coffee, refreshments, and fellowship in our fellowship hall or outside.

We look forward to meeting you!
